Indigenes of Akungba Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, have hailed the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, over the appointment of Prof. Temi Ologunorisa as the Vice Chancellor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology Okitipupa(OAUSTECH).
Recalled that Akeredolu had few weeks ago announced Ologunorisa as Vice Chancellor of OAUSTECH, while he noted that the appointment takes effect from 23rd Febuary, 2022.
The indigenes under the aegis of 'Who is Who in Akungba', also extolled the Governor for nominating another indigene of the community, Otunba Gboyega Adefarati, as commissioner.
Adefarati, who is the son of a former Governor of the State, Late Chief Adebayo Adefarati, had earlier served as the Commissioner for Agriculture in the first term of Gov. Akeredolu.
However, In a statement issued by Pius Babaleye, Coordinator of the platform, said, “On behalf of entire Akungba and 4 Local Government areas in Akoko, we want to show our profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, for the magnitude of his benevolence, contributions and support towards the downtrodden in Ondo State and beyond and for equally finding our son worthy to be appointed as the Vice Chancellor Olusegun Agagu University of Technology”.
