We are not parasites or faceless people but real members of NNPP - Ondo Central Leaders

Going, going, going, the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) may ceased to be in existence in Ondo State as the lingering crisis between leaders of the party in Ondo Central Senatorial District and other five local government areas of the state and the State Chairman, Pastor Peter Olagookun ranges on.

The crisis is threatening NNPP’s chances of making any impact in Ondo state if not checked.

The leaders said, they are not parasites or faceless group of people but bonafide members of the party who have worked for the sustainability of NNPP in the state.

They blasted the Chairman, Pastor Peter Olagookun for referring to them as some faceless group of people, who had claimed to be members of the party. They said, the state Chairman should bury his head in shame.

They further stressed that they are only aggrieved with the way and manner the State Chairman, Pastor Peter Olagookun is running the party as his family affairs, his high-handedness, act of impunity, divide and rule in order to save it from imminent collapse in the state.

The leaders in a press release signed on their behalf by Mr. Olaleye Oluwafemi while reacting to name calling by party State Chairman cautioned him to discontinue his onslaught against elders and leaders of the party as well as members of his executive who believe in the NNPP leadership/agenda against his selfish interest.

"We are out to end the act of impunity by Pastor Olagookun and his divide and rule tactics in order to save the party from imminent collapse in the state.

"We have many key facts of misconduct of the state Chairman and because of this, we are now being treated as faceless groups. We will.soon expose him.

“We are for peace, that is why we want the National Leadership of the party to wade into the crisis in Ondo state as many members of his executive are already disgruntled by the attitude of the state chairman to party faithful.

“This is important in order to make the party in Ondo state to be a formidable one ahead of the 2023 election so that our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Rabiu Kwakwanso could emerged winner in the election.

They therefore said that the state Chairman should also be pleaded with on the need to respect elders and leaders of the party in the state and stop acting like a demigod.
