● Our Constituency Cannot Afford To Be In The Opposition - Bankole Muhammed
A former majority leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Gbenga Araoyinbo has joined other leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Akoko North West Constituency II to mobilise support for the reelection of the member representing Akoko North West Constituency II at the state house of Assembly, Taofik Muhammed.
At the final rally of the party in the Constituency, Araoyinbo noted that the performance of the party at the last presidential election has shown that the opposition parties in the state are now dead.
According to him, "The APC has proven that it is the largest political party in the country and in Ondo state during the last election. We are on course to cap it up by reelecting Taofik Muhammed to represent our constituency again.
"He is well positioned to bring development to our people and with the victory of Asiwaju, we should expect a robust performance."
The Education Secretary in Akoko North West Local Government, Bankole Muhammed stressed the importance of not sending an opposition party to the state Assembly.
"Opposition party members in the house of Assembly can only get leftovers after the ruling party might have shared the best projects and jobs. Lobbying as an opposition party is always difficult and many times fruitless.
"Our party, the APC is ruling at the federal level and the state level. To get benefits for our people, we must also send an APC house of Assembly member. We cannot afford to miss this opportunity of attracting the best projects to our constituency."
Party members and supporters trooped out in Irun, Ese, Afin and Ogbagi to support the party's candidate to the joy of the party leaders.
Leaders present at the rally include Hon Bello,Hon Onibalusi ,Hon Olajide Oluwatuyi,Hon Adeyanju and all ward executives in the 4 wards in the Constituency among others
