The Chairman and Founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced a cash reward of $500,000 for the Super Eagles if they secure victory in their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final encounter.
Rabiu made the pledge in a statement shared on Saturday via his official X handle, shortly after Nigeria’s 2-0 defeat of Algeria in the quarter-final of the tournament.
Commending the team for their performance, the billionaire industrialist praised the players for lifting national morale with their display against the North African side.
He further promised additional incentives, pledging $50,000 for every goal scored should the Super Eagles win the semi-final match.
Rabiu also revealed that a successful outing in the final would attract a larger reward, with a pledge of $1m for lifting the trophy, alongside a bonus of $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.
Urging the team to maintain their momentum, he encouraged the players to continue flying the Nigerian flag high as they advance in the competition.
Nigeria booked their place in the last four following a comfortable 2-0 victory over Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles will now face host nation Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 AFCON scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
