2027 Permutations: Obi meets Jonathan behind closed door in Abuja

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, is currently in a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.

The meeting, which is being held at Jonathan’s residence, is also attended by some elders from the South-East, although details of the discussions remain sketchy as of the time of filing this report.

Sources familiar with the development, however, said the engagement is part of ongoing political consultations ahead of evolving national developments.

The meeting comes days after President Bola Tinubu hosted the former President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Efforts to obtain official comments from the parties involved were unsuccessful, as aides declined to speak on the outcome of the meeting.
