He said, “First of all, I thank God Almighty for His grace, favour and mercy upon my life. I am nothing but a pencil in His hands and I am grateful for everything. May His name be forever praised.”

The former SUBEB boss specifically commended Aiyedatiwa for allowing him a free hand in managing the education sector, noting that the gesture contributed significantly to his performance in office.

“I sincerely thank my dear Governor and Leader, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity given me to contribute my quota to the development of the education sector of Ondo State. I most sincerely thank him for the support, free-hand and listening-ears he gave me all through the course of my stewardship as the Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB. His approach made my job easier!

“My board and I recorded multiple breakthroughs and made great impacts in the development of primary education in Ondo State because of the enabling working environment the governor provided for us. One of such successes was the recruitment of 1,200 teaching staff to strengthen the workforce and reposition primary education in Ondo State. Ondo State is indeed lucky!”

Olabimtan, who described his assignment at SUBEB as completed, reiterated his continued commitment to the state and the ruling party.

“I am using this medium to reaffirm my loyalty to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and pray God be with him as he continues to pilot the affairs of Ondo State. My job is done at SUBEB but unflinching commitment to the overall well-being of the people of Ondo State, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) remain resolute.”

He also appreciated members of the SUBEB board, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff, for their cooperation and support during his tenure, noting that their collective efforts made his time in office memorable.

“I thank my board members and all the staff, teaching and non-teaching, of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, for their support, cooperation and dedication. Your collective efforts made my job and stay with you memorable. I also thank those God has used and is still using in my life to help me fulfil my callings to date.
