Chief Maurice Vunobolki, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a reflection of the people’s democratic choice.
Vunobolki, in a congratulatory message, said Adeleke’s victory went beyond an individual political achievement, noting that it demonstrated the confidence the electorate had in the governor and the importance of citizens’ participation in the democratic process.
He said, “This is not just a personal victory; it is a victory for the people of Osun State and a reaffirmation of their confidence. It also reminds us that the will of the people remains the cornerstone of democracy.”
The PDP chieftain said the outcome also underscored Adeleke’s political resilience, public service record and ability to maintain a connection with the electorate.
He commended the people of Osun State for exercising their franchise, while also applauding President Bola Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission for overseeing what he described as a free, fair and credible election.
Vunobolki expressed optimism that Adeleke’s renewed mandate would enable the governor to consolidate the achievements of his first tenure and intensify efforts towards improving infrastructure, governance and the welfare of residents.
He urged Adeleke to use the fresh mandate to pursue policies capable of promoting inclusive development and improving the living conditions of the people across the state.
He also prayed for wisdom, strength and grace for the governor as he begins another term in office, urging him to remain committed to the aspirations of the electorate.
Vunobolki congratulated Adeleke and the people of Osun State, describing the re-election as a significant milestone in the state’s democratic development.
