Chief Dele Omosehin has called on his supporters and political leaders across Ikale land to mobilise for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Omosehin made the call while hosting his supporters from Okitipupa and Irele Local Government Areas of Ondo State, three months after the All Progressives Congress primary election for the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency.

The gathering brought together his supporters from various communities and villages across the 23 wards that make up the constituency.

Addressing the gathering, Omosehin said the outcome of the APC primary would not deter him from appreciating those who stood by him during the contest.

He said although he did not emerge as the party’s candidate, the experience would not weaken his commitment to the development and empowerment of his people.

Omosehin said his return to the constituency after the primary was driven by his desire to thank his supporters and reassure them that his commitment to improving their lives remained unchanged.

According to him, the initiatives and programmes he had envisioned for the constituency would be pursued regardless of whether he occupied a public office.

He stressed that youth empowerment and community development remained central to his political vision, noting that genuine leadership should be measured by its impact on the people rather than unfulfilled promises.

Omosehin urged his supporters to remain committed to the APC and work towards securing victory for Tinubu in the next presidential election.

He said, “I call on all leaders across Ikale land to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is the best for the job. The primary election has come and gone; what is important now is to re-elect our President.”

The APC chieftain also urged his followers to support the President’s Renewed Hope agenda, saying the country needed continuity to consolidate the gains of the administration.

Omosehin’s decision to host his supporters months after the primary has been described by his associates as an uncommon gesture, particularly in an environment where political aspirants often withdraw from their supporters after losing party contests.

He assured his supporters that the primary election would not mark the end of his political engagement with the people of Okitipupa and Irele, promising to remain committed to their welfare and development.
