BFFN launches financial freedom model, unveils new book in Akure

The Believers Family Foundation Network has launched a financial empowerment initiative and unveiled a new publication, Vision of a New Nigeria, with a call for Nigerians to embrace economic independence and contribute to national development.

The initiatives were introduced in Akure, the Ondo State capital, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary.

The organisation’s President and Convener, Mrs Florence Bulous Ojogo, said the Financial Freedom Model was designed to equip Nigerians with the knowledge and practical skills needed to improve their economic wellbeing and contribute to the country’s growth.

The launch followed BFFN’s annual Freedom Walk and Prayer Rally for Nigeria, which drew about 500 participants in Akure, while similar activities were held simultaneously in other parts of the country. The organisation also distributed food packages to more than 500 residents across Ondo State.

The book presentation, model launch and awards ceremony were held at The Dome Event Centre, Akure, where participants from different parts of the country gathered to support the initiative. Vision of a New Nigeria examines challenges affecting the country’s development and offers proposed solutions for building a more inclusive and prosperous society.

Ojogo said BFFN’s long-term vision was to build a community of 100 million mentally and financially empowered Nigerians capable of playing active roles in transforming the country.

She described the book as a practical guide for citizens and policymakers seeking sustainable solutions to Nigeria’s development challenges, stressing that the initiative was focused on human capital development and economic empowerment.

Reviewing the publication, Professor Bolanle Ogungbamigbe described it as an important contribution to national discourse and urged Nigerians to develop a stronger reading culture. The Chief Book Launcher, Hon Sunday Ifedayo Abegunde, also endorsed the book, saying it offered useful perspectives on Nigeria’s future.

Also speaking, Hon Donald Ojogo commended the author for pursuing the initiative, saying such a project required determination and resilience. The event ended with the presentation of awards to traditional rulers, professionals and community leaders recognised for their contributions to society.

Ojogo reiterated BFFN’s commitment to promoting financial literacy, capacity building and community empowerment, saying the organisation would continue to provide Nigerians with the knowledge, mindset and practical tools needed to achieve financial independence and support national development.
