A political group, Ondo State Intention: BTO for PBAT Continuity 2027, has expressed confidence that the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, can mobilise massive support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in Ondo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group’s convener, Odudu Ayodele Samuel, popularly known as Manifold, said Tunji-Ojo’s political experience, leadership style and grassroots connections positioned him to play a significant role in the President’s re-election campaign.
Samuel, in a statement issued in October, said the minister’s political influence extended across the state’s 18 local government areas, 203 wards and polling units, providing a platform for widespread mobilisation ahead of the elections.
He noted that the network comprised youths, women, professionals, traders, artisans, community leaders and other stakeholders who could help communicate the Federal Government’s policies and mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress.
The convener said Tunji-Ojo had demonstrated leadership capacity through his previous representation of Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, his chairmanship of the House Committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission and his current ministerial position.
According to him, the minister’s ability to nurture emerging leaders and build relationships across different segments of society could strengthen the APC’s political structure and advance the objectives of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The group urged APC members, community leaders, youth organisations, women’s groups and other stakeholders to unite behind the President’s re-election bid, stressing the need for sustained grassroots engagement, issue-based advocacy and peaceful democratic participation.
It expressed optimism that closer cooperation among party faithful and supporters of Tunji-Ojo would help secure a convincing victory for Tinubu in Ondo State in 2027, while calling for continuity, stability and development under the current administration.
