The Ondo North Senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Prince Foluso Mayowa Adefemi, has challenged incumbent Senator Olajide Ipinsagba to publicly present his achievements and account for his performance since assuming office.
Adefemi had in a statement few months ago challenged Ipinsagba to present his achievements and account for his performance since assuming office
Adefemi said residents of the senatorial district deserved to know the impact of the senator’s representation, particularly as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC candidate made the call on Sunday while stressing the need for transparency and accountability in the representation of the six local government areas that constitute Ondo North.
He maintained that elected officials should be prepared to present verifiable records of their legislative contributions, constituency projects and interventions rather than rely solely on political promises.
According to him, constituents have the right to demand explanations from those entrusted with public office and assess their performance before deciding whether to renew their mandate.
Adefemi, who is advocating a more grassroots-driven approach to representation, said his agenda would prioritise youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure and effective engagement with communities.
He added that public office holders must remain accessible to the people and ensure that their concerns receive adequate attention at the legislative level.
The ADC candidate further pledged to introduce regular town hall meetings across the six local government areas if elected, giving constituents the opportunity to question him on his legislative activities, constituency interventions and utilisation of available resources.
