Akingboye's campaign train landed in Odigbo local government last week. This was in furtherance of his wide consultation across the 18 local government areas of the state, in preparation for the Party's primary election.
Present at the meeting were executives, representatives and party members across all wards. Akingboye walked in gloriously in the midst of graceful reception. While he was heartily welcomed and eulogised for his immense contribution to the development of party activities in Odigbo.
Members present were quick to cite his financial commitment to the Odigbo chapter of the party, pointing at his numerous contribution and pleading for more as they declared total support for him in the forthcoming party's primaries.
The joyful Akingboye lifted lids on his address by commiserating with the family, friends and the entire PDP, Odigbo members over the demise of a leader of the party and former chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Akintunde Isiaka Olorunyomi . He consoled the wives of the deceased and admonished them to take solace in his exemplary life while alive.
Furthermore, he continued by appreciating the members present for the rousing welcome bestowed on him, and their unflinching support for his aspiration so far the journey has started.
Conclusively, Akingboye pleaded with them not to relax as the journey is no near its end. He sought their reassurance as a man to be placed at the string of their heart as the party primary approaches while he made further bold and documented promises to be fulfilled as long as he gets the party's ticket.
