Ondo APC group Raises Alarm over plot to manipulate party's Register

A group working for the reelection of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu within the All progressives congress (APC) in Ondo state, IBI-GIGA AMBASSADORS has written a petition to the national leadership of the party over alleged plans by some governorship aspirants of the party to import fake members from Lagos and Osun states ahead of July 20 APC primary.

The petition was addressed to the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole through the state Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin and signed by the IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS Director-General, Prof Lanre Olu-Adeyemi; the Deputy Director General, Chief Barr. Alaba EnioIa-Ajipe and the group’s Secretary.

The petition was copied to Akeredolu, the State Commissioner of Police and the Stare Director of the DSS.

Reading the petition to newsmen at a Press Conference held at the NUJ Press Centre in Akure today, Prof Adeyemi represented by the Deputy Director General, Chief (Barr.) Alaba EnioIa-Ajipe said individuals who are also governorship aspirants had commenced moves to inject their loyalists into the register with the intention of truncating the chances of governor Akeredolu if direct primary

He pointed out that the 2014 party membership registration remained valid and any attempt to doctor the list could lead to crisis in the party and loss of governorship election in October.
