The lawmaker representing Idanre and Ifedore Federal Consistency, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, has reeled out his purposeful achievements while in office for one year
The lawmaker, who was duly elected under the aegis of social democratic party last year, appreciated his constituents for the seldom love posed to him as he celebrates his one year in office.
Adefisoye, in a speech delivered by him, titled: One year of impactful representation, said his primary responsibility as a federal lawmaker is to make laws for the good of the nation and the good people of Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.
While unveiling his milestones, the lawmaker conscientiously mentioned some of his achievements which includes: Award of scholarship to 131 students across the Federal Constituency, Enrollment of constituents for vocational trainings and empowerment with all necessary tools and instruments, Summer coaching for school children in 19 centers across the Federal Constituency, Appointment of Forty Six (46) constituents as Aides (Special Advisers and Personal Assistants) with prompt payment of their allowances.
The Statement added, "Disbursement of Community Grants to 150 market women in Idanre Local Government Area, Financial empowerment of so many traders in Ifedore Local Government Area, Donation of two months salary to constituents for the purpose of cushioning the effect of Covid-19 pandemic. This is aside the donation of additional two months salaries by each member of the Federal House of Representatives to all Nigerians.
"Facilitating the reinstatement of Mr. Fanika, an indigene of Idanre Local Government into Nigeria Police Force after 4 years dismissal on account of absence from duty"
"Renovation of the long abandoned palace of the paramount ruler of Idanre, the Owa of Idanre"
"Facilitation of federal employment opportunities for constituent, Construction of a police station at Ero in Ifedore Local Government Area, Facilitation of private cassava processing plant in Idanre," Gifting of cars and motorcycles to constituents"
"Facilitation of relief materials for flood victims in Idanre through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Facilitating the enlistment of more than 20 constituents into Nigerian Army"
"Cash donation to General Hospital in Idanre to offset medical bill, Repair of faulty boreholes and sinking of new ones under the scheme of 'Operation Keep The Tap Running, Renovation of Three Blocks of Classrooms and Principal's office at Anglican Grammar School, Ero in Ifedore Local Government Area"
However, joy of many residents of Idanre community knew no bound as the lawmaker celebrates his one year in office marked with unbeatable achievements since the inception of the state.
There a popular aphorism that postulate, "charity begins at home" , In a phone interview with some selected residents of his hometown Idanre by the veracity, they rated the lawmaker's achievement as 90%, adding that he has an unprecedented achievements.
A source who preferred not to be mentioned because of some political rationale, said the Adefisoye had been magnanimous to the residents beyond past representatives.
However, like Oliver twist, constituents have enjoined Hon. Adefisoye to continue quantum leap and make more developmental project as his priority.
