Akure- A renowned hip-hop artist, John Dele, whose sobriquet is 'lover G', says virtually all his released tracks had brought relief to the depressed people in the society, particularly during this ravaging pandemic.
He also noted that in his recent track, tittled: "forgive me", was aimed at reeling out the panaceas to broken marriages, which has ignited morbid fears into the minds of upcoming couples.
The musical Crooner today, made the disclosure in an exclusive interview with our correspondent
According to him, he said as the pandemic bites harder, he was able to solve some societal issues with his aesthetic songs.
His words, "I have been able to use my music to solve some problem in the society, especially at this time of covid 19. I am also working on a music to preach to people about the safety of their life and also to youth on the need to work hard in order to become a better person in the future"
"Also I entertain people through my music. Looking at unhappy person I feel touched in my bones and marrows, because sadness can kill. I do find a way through my music to make people happy no matter how life becomes of them"
The young wunderkind, who expounded that his music career shot him into prominence as he delved into music over 10years ago, adding that the beauty of nature abetted his passion for music.
"I started when I was in JSS1 about 10 Years ago. I was in love with music then, no instruments, nothing to back up my music but my passion for music makes me flow every day and new ideas come in to my thought most times which I write anything I see that is creative and turn it into song to send messages to my listeners because music is not about noise, but making mean if u let sense to the public and finding solutions to the problem of individuals through song. I thank God for today"
Lover G also tasked well meaning Nigerians to throw their weights towards his career, as finance may stampede some of his unique creations and aesthetic ideas.
"As of now, I have many tracks am yet to release, umpteenth of ideas are grounded, but I bereft a substantial sponsor, who can face-lift my career financially, sequel to this, I m appealing to the government for musical succor"
While charging upcoming artists, John urged them to channel their songs to unravel Societal predicaments that have eaten the fabrics of the nation, maintaining that love songs should not be the priority.
He also added that, musicians should compose songs that will send a strong message to the public, just to correct some erroneous beliefs.
"I would love to tell my upcoming colleagues that are artist to always be creative in their work, and to make sure their songs passes Message to the society. Many are based love song artists.
"They should try to be diverse in all their songs and create correctional songs that will shape bad behavior amidst the youth, they should also eschew from Societal decadence"
He, however, appealed to the residents of Ondo State to follow strictly, all government directives aimed at stemming the tide of the novel virus
"In this pandemic period, residents should stay safe and observe social distancing and always wash their hands", he said.
