Ondo 2020: Kolawole Babatunde Rallies Support for Akeredolu

In a bid to boost the re-election of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, a former federal lawmaker of the state, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde has commenced grass root tours in Akoko South East local government area of Ondo state.

Earlier, Kolawole had met the ruling all Progressives Congress executives in the local government, while stressing the need for the excos to vote for the incumbent Governor in the party's primary election. 



Amidst the tour, the former lawmaker who  also opened a campaign office in Isua Akoko, in order to enhance and intensify massive publicity for the Governor.

Speaking during the inauguration of the ultra modern campaign office for Ondo State Governor, Hon Kolawole said the re-election of Akeredolu should be a priority in the aesthetic minds of the executives.




Kolawole, who is also the special adviser to the Governor on rural and community development stated further that Akeredolu's giant strides will coast him to victory. 

While reacting to the resignation of the former secretary to state government, Mr Ifedayo Abegunde, Kolawale noted that the resignation will never be an albatross for the second term bid of the Governor. 

He said the erstwhile SSG had played an inconsequential role while he was in office. 

Recalled that Abegunde tendered his resignation from the government last week. 

Speaking earlier during the inauguration, Hon AJAYI JOHNSON expressed optimism on the victory of the Governor both in the primary election and general election slated for October this year.

The outspoken Chairman described the Governor as a peace maker, noting that APC is in the state today because the Governor stood by the party from unit level to the national level .

According to him, no one can build on nothing, he expressed concern about the activities of some aspirants who are headbent at causing crisis in the party, according to him the activities of these aspirants are worrisome as they negate the progressive image of the party.

He appealed to the aspirants to play the game according to the rules, he however expressed readiness to reciprocate the love of the Governor towards the party, he said the ward and local government excos as well as members of the party are unwavering in their support for the Governor.

However, the Special Adviser urged the executives to throw their huge weight behind the Governor, adding Akeredolu's initiatives will coast him to victory.
