After dearth of rainfall, residents of Akoko, North Senatorial District of Ondo State were elated over the heavy down pour which lasted for over two hours yesterday.
It will be recalled that Veracity had reported earlier that farmers in Akoko environs had lamented inadequate rain which led to poor growth of crops.
A joyous farmer from okeagbe Akoko, Mr Imoru Yaya, noted that God has considered the unanimous prayers of farmers in the zone.
The farmer described crops like maize, cocoyam cassava as some of those negatively affected.
Relatedly, another farmer from Akunu Akoko, Mr Micheal Bello, attributed the inadequate rainfall as divine, maintaining that God is aware of every action and inactions.
