Ondo 2020: It is no longer about Akeredolu, but Ondo APC -Lawyer

Ondo state All progressives congress Chieftain, Barr Tolu Babaleye, on Sunday, said his party will coast to victory, even with the crisis rocking the party.

Babaleye noted that unity forum is in disarray with its inability to produce a consensus.

The party chieftain made the disclosure in an exclusive interview with our correspondent.

According to him, he said  umpteenth of aspirants stepped down for the incumbent Governor in the best interest of the party.

Recalled that some aspirants stepped such as Olusegun Abraham, Ife Oyedele, Jimi Odimayo and others pulled out and declared support for the Governor.

The renowned lawyer maintained that his political mentors have directed thier lieutenants to rally support for the reelection bid of Akeredolu.

Babaleye who is a core loyalist of Chief Olusola Oke, an aspirant in the concluded Ondo APC primaries said his party faithfuls are left with no iota of option than to throw their weight behind the Governor.

He, however, said the party will engage aggrieved members ahead of the Oct 10 gubernatorial election in the state.

In another development; ahead of Ondo state election, some governorship aspirants of the party have decided to work for the reelection of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The Governorship aspirants includes Olusola Oke, Chief Segun Abraham, Isaac Kekemeke and others.

Other top echelons at the meeting were Senator Boroffice, former vice chairman of APC (South West) chief Akinyelure and host of others.

Kekemeke, after the meeting revealed to newsmen that leaders of the party in the state have returned from battle field to work together.
