Ahead of Ondo state Governorship election slated for Oct 10, a foremost group in Akoko, Eka merin youth alliance, today, said it will mobilise no fewer than twenty thousand resource persons for the poll.
The group, which is a coalition of Akoko youths from the four Local government areas of Akoko, Ondo North Senatorial district of Ondo State made its position known through a communique sent to Veracity.
Below is the full text of the communique
A communique issue by the Eka merin youth alliance, ( coalition of Akoko youths from the four Local government areas of Akoko Land.).
We bring you a solidarity greetings from the leadership of the organization, the above organization had on 30th of August, 2020. Converge an extra ordinary meeting.
The meeting had all the four Local governments coordinators, secretaries and the leaders of the organization from all sphere of lives.
The following issues were addressed
(1) mobilisation of targeted numbers of twenty thousands person across the four Local government areas of Akoko in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
(2) Distribution of palliative across the four Local government areas, in a bid to contribute to the progress and development of Akoko.
(3) An awareness walk to solicit for good governance in Akoko land.
(4) To mobilise from unit to local government level for a preferred choice of candidate.
(5) To enlighten the electorates why it must be a candidate for the progress and development of our father land.
