The People's Democratic Party (PDP), Deputy Governorship Candidate, Hon. Gboluga Ikengboju has charged his kinsmen to support his principal, Eyitayo Jegede SAN to become the next governor of the state as he will not renege on his promises.
Gboluga was addressing Aye Ward 1 and 2 party leaders on Monday, 7th September, 2020, when he posited that Jegede is a God fearing and well cultured personality with uncompromising integrity that can be trusted, therefore harped on the need to collectively support him.
He said "I took an inference from a didactic poem I was taught by my father when I was young and it says "A well cultured child does not misbehave"
"I can confidently tell you that Jegede belongs to the category of a cultured person.
"That's why he has remained consistent and loved by everyone. When you probe into his background and antecedents, you will realize what I am saying".
Gboluga tasked the leaders to stand firm in unity to put an end to the recklessness being displayed by the Akeredolu's led administration.
Reacting on behalf of others, the overall Aye PDP leader, Engr. Adejare Orina, said they were pleased with the joint ticket of Eyitayo and Gboluga; agreed to intensify more efforts in ensuring landslide victory for the PDP in all the units at Ode Aye.
Also at the meeting were; Elder Amos Fadope, PDP Southern Senatorial District's Chairman; Hon. Tibetan Osulowo, Okitipupa Constituency 2 PDP House of Assembly Candidate and many others.
