The violence that occurred in Oba Akoko between the two prominent parties in Ondo state, the political unrest have triggered many people to lend thier voices against 'no to violence'
A renowned muslim cleric, Sheikh Hamidu Fasasi, yesterday, cautioned politicians to refrain from violence, adding that violence will do more harm than good.
The Cleric made this known at the jummat service in Afin-Akoko, Akoko north west local government area of Ondo state.
Fasasi who is the acting chief Imam of ansar-ud-deeen society in the clime, stated that peace should be the priority of every politicians during the electioneering period.
While apealling to traditional rulers in his message , he said, the royal fathers should call a peace meeting with the political gladiators, adding that mandatorily they must sign a peace accord to ensure peaceful co existence in the society.
He, however, pleaded with the security agencies not to falter nor relent in policing the residents of the state.
