Barely one week to the governorship election in Ondo state, suspected thugs believed to supporters of People's Democratic Party, and All progressive congress, has thrown residents of Oba Nla, Oba Adesida, Arakale and Oja Oba areas of Akure into confusion.
Residents and passers-by of these affected areas scampered for safety.
Vehicular movement was halted during the clash for several minutes
It was learnt that many people were seriously injured the clash.
Trouble started late Saturday evening at Obanla Junction, Oba Adesida Road when one of the supporters of APC was allegedly beaten by that of PDP.
It was gathered that APC members carried out a reprisal attack on Sunday morning.
