Two days to the governorship election in Ondo state, thugs believed to be members of National Union of Roads transport workers (NURTW) have chased away non APC members in Akungba, Akoko south west local government area of Ondo state.
The thugs who came in their numbers chased away a middle age man simply identified as coach, and another whose name could not be verified as of press time.
According to an impeccable source, the rationale behinde the attack was that the duo were openly canvassing against the present administration.
It was further learnt that the non APC members scampered for safety on sighting the hoodlums.
Meanwhile, the paramount monarch of Akungba community, Oba Isaac Sunday Adeyeye, Ajimo III, has warned political actors in the University community to shun politics of bitterness and embrace peace, in order to consolidate on gains of democracy and the pursuit of peace and development.
Oba Adeyeye cautioned the politicians over attitude and actions geared towards creating disaffection and divisiveness ahead of the October 10 governorship election holding in the State.
