A former speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly and ex Commissioner for works in Ondo State,  Rt. Hon. Abdulsalam Taofiq Olawale, received an award as the pioneer chairman of Nigeria Bar Association, Ikare Akoko branch. 

The award was presented to Abdulsalam during the annual lecture of the association yesterday, at Ugbe Akoko, Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State. 

He bagged the award in recognition of his unrivaled outstanding performance towards the upliftment of the association and also to appreciate him for his goodwill and unadulterated, unalloyed, support to the association.

He, however, appreciated NBA for deeming it to present him a meritorious award.
