The vicar in charge of St. Peter's Anglican Church, Ikare-Akoko, Venerable Isaac Awowole, on Sunday, said Residents must be vigilant to avoid rising cases of COVID-19 in the country.
He also noted that precautionary measures must not be abrogated since the second wave of lockdown is imminent.
The Cleric made the disclosure during his sermon while urging residents to magnimously adhere strictly to the highlighted protocols.
Awowole also advised against mass gathering during the festive period.
He, however, appealed to the government to monitor and enforce the use of nose mask, washing of hands and the use of hands sanitiser to eradicate the scourge.
