Barely twenty four hours as gunmen abducted a couple at Uso in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, a yet-to-be-Identified traveller has been abducted along Ise-isua-Akoko road while the driver was found dead inside the car.
Confirming the abduction of the traveller, Ikare Akoko Area Commander, ASP Razak Rauf said the body of the late driver had been recovered and deposited at State Specialist Hospital's morgue Ikare.
Rauf promised that police would comb the forest to rescue the victim and arrest the criminal elements.
It was reliably gathered that despite the gruesome killing of the driver the dare devil kidnappers were in touch with the family of the abductee for the payment ransom.
Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Director, State Specialist Hospital, Ikare Dr Ayodele Ogunlade has confirmed that Police brought a corpse to the morgue.
An inspector of police attached to Isua Akoko divisional police station was shot dead aroynd this time last year by unknown gunmen and his gun was taken away.
