The Vicar-in-charge of St. Gorges Anglican Church, Okeagbe, Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Venerable Foluso Akerele, has appealed to the Government, as matter of necessity to introduce a scheme that will bring succor to the families of Nigerian fallen heroes.
The Cleric conscientiously noted that wives and children of the heroes are suffering from dire poverty sequel to the demise of the service men.
Akerele made the plea during his sermon today, while calling on well-meaning Nigerians to extend hands of magnanimity to the families.
He, however, urged the Federal Government, Pension Commission and host of others to expedite payment of entilements of service men pronto, adding that their unwavering sacrifice to ensure the safety of inhabitants of Nigeria must not be in vain.
