An Ondo socio-political group, under the aegis of Ondo State Renaissance Youth Vanguard has berated the Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice for acts of insensitivity towards his constituents.
In a terse statement issued to Journalists on Sunday and signed by the group’s National Coordinator Gbolabo Ogunleye, accused the veteran senator of refusing to pay a condolence visit to Ifon since the bloodly assasination of HRM Olufon Oba Adewusi.
Senator Boroffice who is a prominent title holder himself and the Asiwaju of Akoko land has not shown courage in leading his people during this time of grief.
“This is the third Akungba gruesome fatality that he has also kept mute. He never deemed it fit to pay a visit to the town or even issue a condolence message.
“Now an accident occured, our senator has not said anything. He has not visited friends and families of the students that died from the fatal Akungba accident last week.
“We don’t understand who he is representing. He doesn’t make us smile, even now that we are crying he can’t console us. We don’t have a senator at all. We don’t know what we did to him.”
Ogunleye noted that the people are very concerned about the situation and now very uncomfortable with his silence.
“If he is tired of representing us, he should say so. We have other people ready to serve,” he said.
