Three suspected ritualists arraigned for allegedly kidnapping children for rituals in Ondo




For allegedly kidnapping three minors for the purpose of using them for money rituals, three men have been arraigned before an Akure Chief Magistrate Court .

The suspects are: Loto Temitayo aged 34, Olabode Omoboye aged 54 and Ogunbamila Erioluwa aged 52.

They were arraigned on three count charges of conspiracy, abduction, and deprivation of liberty, misdemeanors and others.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Adeoye Adesegun, informed the court that the offence was committed on December 13, 2020 at Igodan Lisa, Ondo State.

But the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to the prosecutor, he said the children were abducted for the purpose of having carnal knowledge of them and using them for money ritual.

He explained that the minors were found with the suspects when they were arrested.

However, Presiding Magistrate, Olanipekun Mayomi, granted the accused persons bail to the sum of N100,000 and a surety in like sum, while the case was adjourned to February 2, 2021 for hearing.
