The National Association of Political Science and Public Administration Students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko has honoured Honourable Festus Akingbaso for his humanitarian services and contributions to the betterment of his constituency in particular and Ondo State in general.
Akingbaso,popularly called FESSY WEST by his admirers, represents the people of Idanre in Ondo State House of Assembly.
The association, who conferred the honour of "Lex-Lactus Extrordinaire" on Akingbaso during a colloquium on Wednesday on AAUA campus, said that the lawmaker was recognised mainly because of his unrelented philanthropic stance and outstanding contributions to his constituency as a legislator.
Akingbaso had earlier this month celebrated his second year in office as a legislator on the platform of the Peoples Democracy Party( PDP) where he commissioned several projects he had executed so far in his constituency.
"Indeed to whom much is given, much more is expected, this explains why Akingbaso keeps giving back to his community in terms of good representation and provision of amenities needed to make life better for the people of his constituency," the association stated.
Appreciating the honour, Akingbaso commended the students' body for the recognition and promised to remain in the service of his people in Idanre and Ondo state at large, adding that if it required seeking higher elective offices that would afford him an avenue to serve his people better and efficiently.
