Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho has been arrested.
It was learnt that Igboho was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic on Monday night, while perfecting his plan to escape through the neighbouring country and proceed to Germany where he is a permanent resident.
Source privy to the situation told Punch that Sunday Igboho’s plan was to escape to Benin Republic and from there find his way to Germany where his family is based. Igboho is said to be awaiting extradition to Nigeria.
The Department of State Security had earlier declared him wanted after raiding his house in Soka, Ibadan, Oyo state where two of his aides were killed.
