A yet-to-be identified driver, has knocked down an aged man in Akungba Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The driver whose J5 bus lost control, rammed into the complex of the holy Trinity Anglican Church in the community and killed the man, an eyewitness said.
Although, locals disclosed that the driver fled the scene immediately when he discovered the man was lifeless.
Confirming the accident, the Ikare-Akoko Unit Commander of the FRSC, Oluropo Alabi, described the incident as unfortunate.
He said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue in Ikare Akoko Specialist hospital.
