EASTER: Motorists make brisk business in Ondo


As today is declared public holiday by the federal government to mark Easter celebration, there is a huge improvement in the patronage on transportation in Ondo State, Veracity News reports. 

Travellers mostly Christians have thronged Abuja, Ibadan motor parks in Ikare while Akungba and Arigidi motor parks also witnessed increase in number of travellers going for Easter holiday or other social engagements

A transporter, Mr. Ojo Momoh, who spoke with our correspondent in Ikare,  confirmed that there is robust improvement on the number of passengers without hike in fares.

The FRSC unit Commander in Ikare Akoko, Oluropo Alabi, cautioned drivers to avoid excessive speed and make sure their vehicles are in good order and also avoid night journeys.

The olubaram of Ibaram in Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of the State, Oba. Olusegun  Atibioke, urged christians to celebrate Easter moderately based on the mood of the nation.

The Monarch also felicitated with Christians, while he urged them to continue with their good deeds.
