The Chairman Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (SCIA) in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State, Chief Ganiyu Bello, has described the passage of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, as a colossal loss to the entire Oduduwa race.
Olodeke stated this in an exclusive interview with our correspondent on Saturday.
He noted that the foremost Monarch was an iconic man and a devoted Muslim with impeccable characters, saying Oba. Lamidi's four-year stint as the Vice President of Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs is commendable.
Bello, who doubles as the Olodeke of Ikare-Akoko said the late Alaafin was an “Amir hajj” and head of Nigeria delegation to hajj in Saudi Arabia.
However, Bello called for fervent prayers during the remaining part of the month of Ramadan for the repose of the Royal Father.
