As Muslim faithfuls all over the world mark the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and celebrate the Eid -el -fitri festival , the special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Natural Resources, Hon.Fatai Olushina Lawal has felicitated with Muslims in his constituency and celebrated with people of his council Area.
In a well attended Sallah celebration in his country home ,Owo on Monday, 2nd May, 2022, he thanked members of his constituency for coming out enmass to celebrate with him on the special occasion. While speaking, Hon. Lawal specifically thanked the Governor of the state, His Excellency Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, for appointing him to serve the State as Special Assistant, noting that without him, he wouldn't have got the platform to contribute to the progress of his people.
He used the occasion to present a two brand new vehicles to members of his constituency for their contributions to the progress of the APC in Owo Local government areas in the presence of large turnout of family members, friends, APC party stalwarts as well as House of Assembly Aspirants in Owo Constituency 11.
Hon. Lawal informed the gathering that APC is a one big family and that all the House of Assembly Aspirants should not see politics as do or die affairs and they should say no to political violence. He assured them that the party will provide equal level playing ground for all contestants and whosoever emerges at the primary election would be that candidate of the party.
The SA to the Governor also used the avenue to express his heartfelt appreciation to the people of his constituency for their aspiration for his to contest the Owo Constituency 11 House of Assembly seat, saying this it was a honour for him and a testimony of his loyalty to the party and the people at the constituency. He however reitetrated that he will not be contesting for an Assembly seat but rather support whosoever emerges at the party primary election.
Amongst APC Aspirants for Owo Constituency 11 who graced the Sallah celebration includes : Hon. Lekan Olotu, Hon. Rotimi Franklin (ROTEX) as well as Hon. Omosuwa Olayemi Maxwell, the incumbent Vice chairman of Owo Local Government. They all thanked and appreciated Hon. Fatai for his love and the courtesy extended to them to come and celebrate the Sallah festival with him. They assured him that they will work for and support whosoever emerges as the party candidate in the primary election at the general election.
One of the special guests at the occasion, prof. Bayo Fatukasi of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, corroborated what Hon. Lawal told all the aspirants. He opined that if politics is all about serving the people and for the interest of the community, it should be devoided of violence and not as do or die affairs. He expressed his joy at the political maturity displayed by Hon. Lawal for bringing all the aspirants together and said, this has shown that he will go far in politics with such kind of leadership traits.
