Obagbemi Eyibobola Emerges Victorious At Okitipupa LG PDP National Delegate's Election


A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain and former Member of Ondo state House of Assembly who represented Okitipupa Constituency 2, Hon. Obagbemi Eyibobola has emerged victorous in the just concluded PDP National Delegate and Disabled election in Okitipupa LGA, Ondo State.

The election presided over by Mr Abiodun Temenu the party's returning officer held at Idepe Hall, Okitipupa began at exactly 11:15 am and ended 2:10pm with Hon. Eyibobola scoring 213 votes out of the 247 accredited voters, thereby leaving Mr. Niyi Adebusoye his major rival with 34 votes while Mr Popoola Oladunjoye (without any opponent) was unanimously elected as a special delegate (disabled) by all the 247 accredited voters.

In attendance were representatives from Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) major party leaders including, Hon. Gboluga Dele Ikengboju, member House of Representatives, Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency; High Chief Adekanmi, the Lisa of Idepe; former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Mike Omogbehin; Former Ondo State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele; Firmer House of Assembly Member, Hon. Obagbemi Eyibobola; Ondo South PDP Chairman, Elder Amos Fadope; Okitipupa LGA PDP Chairman, Mr. Adewo Sola; Former SSA on Project Monitoring to Governor Mimiko, Engr. Niyi Ogunwa; Former House of Assembly member, Hon. Niyi Adebusoye; Hon. Solomon Bitire, former Okitipupa LGA PDP Chairman, Executive Council Chairman and SLA to Senator Nicholas Tofowomo; Mr. Ayi Olowokanga; Former SA to Governor Mimiko on aforestation and PDP House of Assembly Aspirant, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin: Ward executives; LGA Excos and many others.

Satisfied with the process, the party leaders commended the returning officer for his unbiased stand throughout the process, commended the voters and congratulated the winners for their victory.
