Nigerians have been advised not to visit quackery and unlicensed medical facilities, especially pregnant women and nursing mothers. Instead, they should always go to government-run health facilities, which are staffed by qualified and experienced medical professionals.
At the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Ikare, Alhaja Latifat Kilani, the wife of Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani, the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria's most recent national organizing secretary, offered this advise to a newborn born to Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Ishola on the occasion of her birthday.
Alhaji Kilani delivered the gifts to the baby's parents on behalf of his wife, noting that he was also born at the same hospital.
Alhaja Latifat Kilani said that rather than throwing a party to celebrate her birthday, her heart and thoughts were with the underprivileged in society. She also donated bedspreads to the Psychiatric Hospital in Akure and pledged to make a donation to the Afin Akoko Basic Health Centre.
Dr. Idowu Ayodeji, the chief medical director of the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Ikare Akoko, praised the Kilani family for their generosity, especially in the field of medicine.
Dr. Ayodeji emphasized that the government could not provide the people with high-quality healthcare on its own and urged other well-meaning Nigerians to support the medical industry by making donations of money and supplies.
