Ex-lawmaker, Abidakun commiserates Akeredolu over mum's death

A former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Omotayo Abidakun, has expressed heartfelt condolences on the passing of Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.

Evang. Akeredolu who died early hours of today at the age of 90, was the mother of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Ever since her death was announced, condolence messages pervaded the media space, with prominent personalities, groups and associations sympathizing with the first family.

However, the former Ondo legislator, in a statement on Thursday by his media aide, Adeboye Ado, commiserated with the Akeredolus family over their mother's demise.

Abidakun who noted that late Akeredolu was known for her piousness in the ecclesiastical gathering, said she lived an accomplished life which was ostentatious enough for all and sundry to emulate.

Part of the statement read: “A cold shiver ran down my spine when I heard the news about the death of Mama grace Akeredolu. She was a good woman who made sure she entrenched morals around her good children”

“Evidently, the morals are exuding around the polity in the Ondo State, as her first fruit who happens to be our very own Governor, has not only exhibited, but also eschewed  the dissolute and degrading aspects of human nature as taught by Mama.

“It is my sincere prayers that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and continue to uphold our dear Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu”
