The Kogi State House of Assembly complex was destroyed by fire on Monday morning.

At the time of publication, the cause of the fire incident, which began at 8am, was unknown.


It was said that the conflagration entirely destroyed the Assembly gallery.

Prince Mathew Kolawole, the Speaker of the House, told reporters at the Assembly complex that the House would permit security services to look into the event.


He added that this won't prevent the Assembly from fulfilling its obligations.
