The elated new  Delta HOSTCOM Chair further remarked  in his speech saying: " The HOSTCOM family in Delta State
also  appreciate the support of the Delta State Oil Producing Area  Development Commission ( DESOPADEC ) , led by Hon  Chief  Bashorun  Askia Ogieh , FCNA , CRFA , the Managing Director / CEO DESOPADEC ,
ably represented by Chief Vincent Oyibode,  the Commissioner representing
Ughelli South Udu, Uvwie and the Urhobos in Warri South LGA for making the
Commission a dependable ally that can be relied upon for credible service delivery to the oil bearing Communities
which HOSTCOM represents as an umbrella body."

Similarly,  in  the same vein Comrade Enujeke Sunday  Ndidi appreciated the Multinational oil Companies thus:

"My Special thanks to the Settlors or the Multinational Corporations for their pivotal  support in  human / capital development in  many ways too numerous  to mention , together we have come a long way with good fruits  yielding to testify that we have a symbiotic relationship."

Comrade Enujeke who described Delta
State as the engine room of HOSTCOM
explained  that the successful inauguration of the Delta State Exco will act as a    catalystic  support base to galvanize and step up the activities.of HOSTCOM on a national scale because the national Secretariat of HOSTOM is domiciled in Delta State.

The Delta HOSTCOM boss who assured the people that the new Exco will work the talk said : " l wish to  remind all  stakeholders here present and the general public  that we are aware that  the onus for us to be  effective and efficient  in carrying out the   responsibilities with which we are saddled  lies on us and
how smart we can play the  game of oil and gas politics ."

The Delta HOSTCOM Chair who re - emphasized the strategic role of Delta
in the affairs of HOSTCOM said:

" Permit me to assert that  historically , Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (  HOSTCOM ) , Delta State Chapter    , is the engine room that has galvanized the formidable disposition , to improve the lives and  living condition  of oil bearing communities ,
positively  impacting lives through the Interventionist Agency called, Delta State Oil  Mineral  Producing  Area Development Commission  aka  ( DESOPADEC ) , with the 13 % derivation principle ."

He Posited :
" We are also glad to affirm in our report card  that there is a good level of  cooperation from the  Multinational  Companies ( Settlors), etc which cannot be over emphasized . " he added.

Going down the memory lane to update the audience of the origin of
the leadership tussle which truncated
smooth handover before this time , said: "  I will not delve into much of the antecedents of our predecessors ,
but talking about   the immediate past executives under the leadership of Evangelist Gabriel lsibeluo , it
behoves on me to place it on record so that  the unsuspecting general public
can  be  properly  informed ."

The  Delta State HOSTCOM under my producessor, Evangelist Gabriel lsibeluo was ladenned  with gross impunity  , which led to the unavoidable  intervention of the national body and the  subsequent creation of  an Interim Management Committee ( IMC ) , that finally midwifed the  current Executives that was  inaugurated today."

 He disclosed that the immediate
past Delta State HOSTCOM Chairman said in his inaugural speech during his swearing - in , on the 5th of April 2017 , that he  was elected on the 9th of January as HOSTCOM CHAIRMAN , and he promised then that  after his  one tenure of four ( 4 ) years , it will  become  the turn of the  NDOKWA'S Ethnic Nationality , as other Ethnic Nationalities  has gotten their fair share of the 4years tenure rotation  constitutionally guaranteed  by the bye laws of HOSTCOM.

Continuing he lamented: " The failure after the expiration of our  immediate past  Delta State HOSTCOM Chairman , to conduct an election as constitutionally agreed , after several reminders culminated into the  epitomized  mal - administration of his leadership  before the HOSTCOM National Leadership  came up with the idea of Interim Management Committee ( IMC )  ,with a Mandate to organize Annual General Meeting ( AGM ) and elect new officers ."

The new Delta HOSTCOM Chair clarified that  the IMC set up was drawn from the six ( 6 ) ethnic nationalities of Itsekiri , Ijaw , Urhobo , Isoko , Ndokwa and Ika which  diligently  carried out their duties without fear or favor thereby crystalizing into  the testament of our gathering today .

Comrade Enujeke  in his speech added:
"As we are on board , it is our Mandate to carryout assignments effectively and efficiently , in order to manage our collective resources and patrimony under my leadership  to the best of our ability ,"

Moving forward, he promised:
" We shall  be accountable , transparent , run an  open door policy , stand by the rule of law ,  justice , equity and fairness would be our standard bearings in every ramifications ."

While speaking on the PIA , Comrade Enujeke  Sunday Ndidi said:"The PIA is a welcome development  because it has come to address issues as it relates to HOSTCOM to a reasonable extent and our roles as it covers oil and gas , which is well defined by the ACT , should be earnestly implemented without  duplication of our responsibilities to other private platforms  which is indeed  uncalled for in Delta State . "

ln summation, Enujeke made a clarion call saying: "  I urge us to be steadfast as we have a symbiotic relationship , partnering the State Government , Multinational Corporations and our communities ,as we use our legitimate platform of HOSTCOM  in  creating an enabling environment in bringing  about  sustainable and enduring peace as a  non partisan organization ,  and we would continually go for what is due to us , and  as well support the Government at all levels , particularly in   our state as it concerns  developmental policies in the oil bearing Communities."
