High Comrade Joseph Lamienghan the HOSTCOM Scribe who spoke in Warri Delta State to selected group journalists charged Engr Audu Ohwavborua the new Acting Managing Director
to expedite action on the payment of contractors who have processed their interim payment certificates .
Comrade Lamienghan who is also the
founder ,Oil Voice of Niger Delta
seized the opportunity to send a compassionate appeal to PresÃdent Muhammadu Buhari to use his executive fiat to direct the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and Engr Audu Ohwavborua the NDDC boss to do the needful before certain things fundamental to our well being Will go wrong.
Lamienghan the HOSTCOM boss emphasized that contracting is essentially all about the certification of the job done hence those who have their
interim payment certificates ( IPC ) genuinely
should be paid by NDDC to maintain the peace we have been enjoying in the era of PresÃdent Muhammadu Buhari.
According to High Comrade Joseph Lamienghan, to avoid rancour and anarchy, NDDC must change from the old and unwanranted delibrate
policy targeted to stiffle contractors who have expeditiously completed their capital projects with iron cast evidence and pay the contractors to encourage
them and to lift the public image of NDDC for the Commission to do better as an Interventionist Agency of development of the the Niger Delta region.
Comrade Lamienghan lamented that , NDDC in the past seven yesrs has rendered the contractors homeless and indisposed to public activities because of bank loans and money they borrowed from people in the black market.
Therefore, the Niger Delta Oil Voice called on Engr Audu Ohwavborua the new Acting Managing Director of NDDC
to pay the contractors without any further delay.
High Comrade Joseph Lamienghan the HOSTCOM boss also
appealed to the Senate PresÃdent and the Speaker House of Representatives
to support the Acting MD of NDDC to enable him deliver his mandate in line with the NDDC ACT.
The founder of the Oil Voice of Niger Delta who emphasized the need for NDDC to get it right in terms of Contractors payment , asserted that it
is grossly wrong to make contractors surfer losses for the past seven years, mostly those of us that travel from Ogulagha, Obotobo 1& 2, youbebe, sekebolou, yorkiri, Obuguru, osaian Beniboye Olusemoere Okungbene and Abarabe all in Burutu Local Government, the oil rich Local Government in pursuit of payment.
He canversed the view that payment of
contractors who have completed their projects and are fully certified by the Commission is the template that can guarantee the smooth sailing of the new MD in particular and the NDDC management in general.
