In what can be described as an annual voluntary practice, an Akure-based famous Legal Icon, Barrister Femi Emmanuel Emodamori has published his 2022 monetary income and gifts.
According to Emodamori, this practice is not to impress anybody; after all, what I earn in a whole year is probably what someone else, including my contemporaries in legal practice, earn or ‘earn’ in a month, or in just a day.

Since 2013, I have been voluntarily publishing all my day to day, month by month, and year by year monetary incomes and gifts.
As I have repeatedly stated, this practice is not to impress anybody; after all, what I earn in a whole year is probably what someone else, including my contemporaries in legal practice, earn or ‘earn’ in a month, or in just a day.
This ‘dangerous’ practice is simply in line with my personal vow/prayer that may I never earn whatever I cannot publicly disclose; and whatever God cannot give me, may I never have it.
The only reasonable question any one may ask, is: How does he spend his money”, not “how did he get the money?”
This is one of the greatest secrets of my self-esteem and audacity, and I will continue to do this for as long as I live.
Those who have nothing to fear, have nothing to hide; and those who have nothing to hide, have absolutely nothing to fear.
