Olabimtan Faults High Court Judgment on Akoko South East/West Federal Constituency


- Says Judgment Will be Appealed and APC will Win

The Coordinator for Tinubu/Shettima  Grassroots PCC in Ondo State and a formal Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan has faulted a Federal High Court Judgment declaring APC Primary Election in the Akoko South East and South West Federal Constituency as null and void thereby restraining INEC from recognizing any candidate presented by the APC.

The Statement was made in Oka and Isua Akoko by Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan in a continuation of his mobilization crusade for the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Presidential Campaign and for all APC candidates in Ondo State. He said, none of the parties to the suit prayed the Court for cancelation of primary, instead they prayed to be declared winner of the primary. He said it was a great bewilderment when the trial court decided to go out of the petitions and granted a judgment not prayed for. Rt. Hon. Olabimtan who is the current Chairman of SUBEB in Ondo State charged all party faithfuls to immediately shun the advances of mushroom parties roaming about in the midnight misinforming people that APC does not have candidate for House of Representatives in the forth coming general elections. He said the Judgment will be appealed and an application for stay of execution will be filed while all of us should continue our vigorous mobilization for Tinubu the Yoruba agenda, down to Senate, House of Representatives and the Assembly elections.

Reacting at the meeting, the Bobagunwa of Okaland, Chief Dr. Victor Olusegun Ategbole said he went to court for the court to address his grievances. He added that he did not pray the court for cancelation of the primary election but for him to be declared winner. He assured the party faithfuls that APC will contest in the forth coming election and will win the Federal Constituency. Also present was the formal commissioner for Agriculture Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati who said the Judgment was a rude shock however, the party will appeal the judgment and APC must win. He appreciated Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan for convening the meeting and also appreciated his brother Chief Dr. Victor Olusegun Ategbole for attending the meeting. He said his coming was a reassurance to party faithfuls that APC remains an indivisible family in Akoko South Federal Constituency.

The Director General of APC Campaign Council for Ondo North Senatorial District Hon. Kolawole Babatunde said all the grievances in APC is a family affairs and they have been resolved. He said APC will come out victorious in all the elections from Presidential, to Senate to House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly. Also present was the Chairman Judicial Service Commission Barr. Lewa Adejombo, the Commissioner for Diaspora matters Hon. Ologbese, the Local Government Chairmen of Akoko South West and South East. The Candidates of House of Assembly for Akoko South West Constituency 1 Oka, Hon. Gbogi Emmanuel and Young Alhaji among other dignitaries.
