Omituntun Medical Outreach: Beneficiaries promise to re-elect Makinde for second term


Oyo state commissioner for works, Prof Daud Sangodoyin, has called on the people of re – elect Governor Seyi Makinde for a second term in office to allow him continue with series of developmental projects he has embarked upon since 2019. 
 
Professor Sangodoyin made the call at a Medical Outreach organized by a professional group, Omituntun Initiative in Diaspora, OID at the Oyo state Pensioners House Event Hall, Onireke, Ibadan.


While appreciating the the founder of the group, Elder Moses Eledan, Professor Sangodoyin appreciated the older people, especially Pensioners in Oyo state for their support to Governor Makinde and his government.

He therefore called on the citizens of Oyo state to come out en mass and vote the Governor for a second term in Office for good governance and more people-oriented projects.

Some of the older people, especially pensioners again pledged their support for Governor Makinde`s the second term by voting him again on Saturday March 11th, 2023.

The Senior citizens who were among over 250 beneficiaries at the appreciated Governor Makinde for prioriting their welfare since the ninception of his administration.

Among the beneficiaries were Prince Oyesina Oyelakin and Alhaja Azeezat Winjobi who gave kudos to Governor Makinde for his giant strides in changing the developmental narratives of the state for better.

They commended OID for putting up the medical outreach for the benefits of Older People in the state.

In an interview, Medical Consultant for the medical outreach, Dr. Olufemi Olowookere from the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, who said he was satisfied with the series of health care administered to the beneficiaries, he said more of such medical outreach is needed in the country to alleviate the sufferings of the aged. 


“We have been rendering some helps to our community, especially the older people as kind of dividends of democracy to the people because older people do not have access to social security in this country and this is what our Governor is doing here through Oyo state health insurance Agency OYSHIA and building of Primary health centres across the state which is highly commendable.

Another beneficiary, Mrs Adetoun Ibikunle reiterated that Pensioners are solidly behind Engr. Seyi Makinde to pilot the affairs of the state for another four years.
According to the retiree Governor Seyi Makinde should be rest assure of older people`s support for his second term ambition.

Among cases attended to at the medical outreach include Eye cares and Dental check, Sugar level check, Blood Pressure checks, and General medical examination.
