The Commisioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, says that Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa will sustain and improve on the good legacies of late Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Takuro said this while addressing management and staff of the ministry on Tuesday in Akure.
Takuro said he was sure of this because the governor had continually promised privately and publicly to improve on the former governor’s legacies.
He described Aiyedatiwa as a man of his words,
adding that the governor was being carried along and was part of decision making in all that late Akeredolu did.
The commissioner added that Aiyedatiwa would not abandon projects embarked upon by his predecessor.
He said that implementation of the newly created local council development area(LCDA) would soon commence, as Aiyedatiwa would leave no stone unturned to make life better for the people of the State.
Takuro sought support for Aiyedatiwa, saying that the governor would priotise the welfare of workers and that of the entire citizenry.
Takuro who was given a rousig welcome back to the ministry as a commissioner , promised to continue to do good and give Aiyedatiwa the desired and needed support to succeed.
He stated that the image of the ministry had been redeemed and that he would work assiduously to make it the face of the government of the day.
He thanked the management and staff of the ministry and all stakeholders, for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to disappoint them.
The entire management and members of staff who could not hide their joy, welcomed the commissioner with various songs and dance steps.
They thanked the commissioner for prioritising their welfare and advised him to do more.
Prayers were said for the commissioner , the state governor and entire cabinet by both Christian and Islamic clerics.
