A legal practitioner cum philanthropist, Bisayo Busari-Akinnadeju has been inducted as the new Matron of the National Association of Akungba Students (NAAS).
The induction coupled with the inauguration of new Executives of the association, took place at the Adetutu Adefarati Civic Centre in Akungba-Akoko, in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Speaking at the event, Busari-Akinnadeju expressed unfeigned appreciation over the gesture, pledging to organize an essay competition for Secondary school students in the milieu.
While delivering her immaculate speech, Bisayo said, “it is with immense joy and a mother's pride that I stand before you today at our Fiesta program. As the matron of our beloved association here at AAUA, I am deeply honored to address you on this significant occasion themed "Repositioning Akungba Students to the 21st Century."
“First and foremost, I want you all to know how immensely proud I am of each and every one of you. Your dedication, resilience, and passion for learning are truly inspiring.
“As your matron, it fills my heart with joy to witness your growth and development, not just academically, but also as responsible, compassionate students of great Akungba
Today, as we gather to celebrate and reflect on our journey, it is crucial that we recognize the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The 21st century presents us with a rapidly changing world, one filled with endless possibilities and complexities. As students of Akungba, it is imperative that we equip ourselves with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to navigate this ever-evolving landscape successfully.
“My dear students, as we embark on this journey of repositioning ourselves to thrive in the 21st century, let us embrace the spirit of disruption. Being disruptors means challenging the status quo, pushing boundaries, and daring to innovate in ways that transform our world for the better.
“Look around you, and you'll find countless examples of men and women who have embraced disruption and reshaped industries. Consider the likes of Elon Musk, who disrupted the automotive industry with Tesla, revolutionized space exploration with SpaceX, and is now pioneering the development of sustainable energy solutions. His visionary approach reminds us that with boldness and determination, we can turn dreams into reality.
“Think of Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, who defied convention and revolutionized the fashion industry with her innovative shapewear designs. Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance and creativity in the face of adversity.
“Closer to home, consider companies like Flutterwave, Paystack, and Andela, founded by young African entrepreneurs who are redefining the tech landscape on the continent and beyond. Their success stories inspire us to embrace our potential as change-makers and to leverage technology to drive positive impact in our communities.
“My dear students, these examples serve as a reminder that greatness lies within each of us. We have the power to disrupt, innovate, and shape the future in ways we never thought possible. But it requires courage, resilience, and a willingness to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success.

Appreciating the new Matron, the new President, Oki Al-Hasan, extolled the virtues of the new matron, adding that the association had benefited from the philanthropic gestures of Busari-Akinnadeju.
However, the association presented a picture to the new Matron.
