A 51-year-old Raufu Nureni, was on Thursday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates' Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing people's goats.
Nureni, whose address was not provided was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, ASP Musbau Lawal told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence between June 6 and 9, at Apete area, Ibadan.
Lawal alleged that the defendant stole six goats worth N570,000 belonging to one Mrs Yemisi Ajayi and another Three goats worth N140, 000 property of one Mrs Toyin Michael.
He alleged that the defendant at the same aforementioned area also stole another Three goats worth N250, 000 belonging to one Mrs Khadijat Sanusi and several other goats from other people.
He said the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mr Olaolu Olanipekun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He thereafter adjourned the case until July 3 for hearing. (NAN)
