The Governor of Ondo State and All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has pledged that his administration will build upon its successes over the next four years if re-elected.
Speaking during a campaign visit to community leaders at the Irele Multipurpose Hall and Civic Centre, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized his commitment to the security of lives and property as a foundation for the state's development.
Governor Aiyedatiwa reassured the people of Irele of a transparent process in selecting a new Oba, assuring that his administration would not interfere in the community’s traditional succession process.
"Whoever the kingmakers choose is the one who will be king," he stated, urging the kingmakers to adhere strictly to due process for a peaceful transition.
He highlighted his administration's tangible commitments, including the ongoing 28km Iyansan-Ajagba-Akotogbo-Iju Osun road construction project.
The Governor emphasized that his government would only promise what it could deliver.
Community leader Chief Adeniyi Samson praised the governor’s dedication, noting the prompt payment of workers’ salaries and gratuities. He encouraged residents to show strong support at the November 16 election.
Traditional leaders also voiced their appreciation, with the Odogbo of Omi, Oba Olorunsola Akinyelure, commending the Governor for prioritizing traditional rulers’ welfare.
“You have done something remarkable for monarchs in Irele. You empower us and listen,” Oba Akinyelure stated.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Irele resident, Remi Olatubora, expressed confidence in the Governor’s re-election, vowing that Irele would deliver an unprecedented vote margin in support of his leadership.
The Governor’s visit to Iyansan was marked by a warm reception and his installation as the Jagunmolu of Iyansan by Oba Akinyomi Olasehinde, the Laaragunsin of Ode Iyansan, symbolizing the community’s full endorsement of his bid for a second term.
