BREAKING: Senate removes Natasha as Committee Chair

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing Kogi Central, has been removed from her position as Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organizations.

This latest move, directed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, signals further political shifts within the National Assembly.

It also marks the second time Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has lost a leadership role in the current Senate.

Earlier in February, she was relieved of her position as Chair of the Senate Committee on Local Content and reassigned to oversee Diaspora and NGO matters.

Following her removal, Akpoti-Uduaghan is now left without any committee leadership assignment. Her replacement, Senator Aniekan Bassey, represents Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District.

Details later.
