In what appears to be a strong signal ahead of the 2027 general elections, BTO for PBAT 2027, a major support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has declared that nothing can stop the President from securing re-election.
Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, the group’s spokesperson, Folajimi Adewumi, expressed confidence in the President’s leadership and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s readiness to retain power in 2027.
“Unless there are no elections in Nigeria or the President himself opts not to run, nothing can prevent Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from emerging victorious in 2027,” Adewumi stated.
According to him, the group’s conviction is rooted in Tinubu’s enduring political influence and the APC’s renewed grassroots engagement. He noted that the party had reflected deeply on the 2023 elections and taken steps to address earlier shortcomings, especially in key states such as Lagos and Kano.
“The APC has reconnected with the people, learned from past mistakes, and fortified its base. The challenges faced in 2023 will not be repeated,” the statement added.
The group’s Director-General, Ogbeni Adojutelegan Adesuyi, also underscored that BTO for PBAT 2027 has intensified nationwide mobilization to promote the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Adewumi said members have been traversing the country to engage citizens and highlight the administration’s achievements.
“We have witnessed firsthand the positive impact of Tinubu’s policies on infrastructure, security, and economic reforms. Nigerians are beginning to see tangible results, and by 2027, the Renewed Hope mandate will be reaffirmed,” he remarked.
Their declaration has continued to generate reactions across the political spectrum. While supporters described Tinubu as a transformational leader steering Nigeria toward stability, critics cited prevailing economic hardship as a potential obstacle to his re-election.
Still, BTO for PBAT 2027 remains undeterred, maintaining that Tinubu’s re-election bid is more than a campaign—it represents a movement anchored on loyalty, structure, and visible progress.
As political alignments begin to take shape, analysts say the group’s statement signals that the 2027 race has already begun—and for now, the momentum appears to tilt toward the “Jagaban of Africa.”
